Editor’s Note
Firstly I would like to apologize for the delay of our first issue but look forward to bringing to you three (3) more issues this year. A lot has happened in a space of six (6) months but we have managed to capture the main events in this 4-page edition.
In this first edition we give you a glimpse of what’s expected of the four (4) regional forums and what to look our for in the National Development Forum since this year’s theme for the Regional Development Forums (RDF) is “Accessing to Quality Health & Education Services”.
The first RDF was hosted in Madang’s Divine Word University for the Momase Region in April and had a turn out of about 200 people in the 2 days. Also the Budget Tracking Training has proven successful in places that have hosted the training and growing demand has proven the importance of the training to all Local Level Government stake holders around the country.
We will bring your more stories on the different sectoral committee meetings as well as rest of the RDF’s in the next editions.
2012 is also a very important year for all Papua New Guineans as eligible voters take to the poll and elect leaders who they hope to bring better development and services to them.
For now please enjoy our first edition.
