Editor’s Note

Hi Stakeholders, welcome to the third edition of our 2018 Paitim TalkTok Newsletter. The third quarter of the year was quite busy for CIMC taking part in many activities and programs through the Sectoral Committees.

Two Sectoral Committees have worked in partnership with government, CSOs, international NGOs and other stakeholders to conduct national surveys on the informal economy and on enhancing the quality of elementary education in the country.

The secretariat also initiated and hosted a high level Open Government Partnership (OGP) Conference with partners including TIPNG, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT), INA and supported by ADB and the European Union (EU).

Other activities planned for the year are the CSO Roundtable meeting and the National Development Forum to be held in Port Moresby.

The current surveys to enhance quality in elementary education and the national audit on the informal economy are ongoing. More updates will be brought to you in the final version that will be published later in the year.

 We hope that this issue of the Paitim Talktok is informative and will enlighten our stakeholders and readers on the work of the CIMC and its Sectoral Committees.
