CIMC officers attend consultation on WaSH Sector Master Plan

The Department of National Planning and Monitoring (DNPM) recently hosted a National Consultation Workshop on the WaSH Sector Master Plan 2026-2036.

Held at Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby, from October 15th – 16th, 2025, the two-day national consultation was attended by representatives from the Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council (CIMC) and key stakeholders from the Government Departments, Non – Government Organizations and Development Partners who were invited to contribute to the discussions.

Two officers from CIMC, Joan Maima, Senior Project Manager overseeing the Sectoral Committees, and Martina Paulus, Senior Project Officer overseeing the Transport and Infrastructure Sectoral Committee, attended the workshops and participated in the discussions. 

The first day of the program was centred around Foundations and Strategic Commitment while the second day focused on Accountability, Data and Sustainability.

The objective of this consultation was to establish the National Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Authority (NWSHA).
